Sanctuary Paintings
For at least a decade, my work has focused on the Stone Circles and Megalithic Monuments of Great Britain. I have explored many of these prehistoric sites. Some of them have been relatively easy to come upon while others were so far removed from civilization that I would find myself on top of a mountain or in a secluded meadow, only to be visited by an occasional herd of sheep. These sites exude an incredible feeling of peace. They radiate something more than the power of the beautiful surroundings on which they have been erected. "Sanctuary" is the result of these experiences.
